This MMI Course will be of interest to research students, academic staff and clinicians, whether contemplating a career in industry or doing translational research in academia. The lectures provide an overview of biopharmaceutical discovery, development and manufacturing, delivered by key staff from Pfizer.
A clinical perspective is provided by academic clinician scientists.

Course/Workshop Developers:
Dr Davinder Gill (Assistant Vice President, Biologic Therapeutics, Pfizer, Cambridge, MA, USA)
Dr Brendan Hughes (Director of Development, Pfizer, Grange Castle)
Dr Mark Leonard (Director, Gene Expression Technologies, Pfizer BioPharma Campus, Andover, MA, USA)

Please note that Wyeth is now part of Pfizer and affiliation of course instructors have been changed accordingly.

Please apply early to ensure your place. This course was very popular when it ran last year. Please note, online application is for the lecture course only (Thursday 5 November).

Please note that in addition to the lecture course, there is a MMI/Pfizer Molecules to Medicines Workshop taking place the following day (Friday 6 November). There are a limited number of places available on the workshop for postgraduate students with research experience (e.g. at least one year into their PhD studies). If you are interested in attending this workshop please send an email indicating your interest to education@MolecularMedicineIreland.ie after you have applied for the lecture course. Please note, you must attend the lecture course as well as the workshop. The workshop was oversubscribed when it ran last year, so you are advised to apply early. Details of the workshop are here
