Wellcome Trust-HRB Clinical Research Facility at St James's Hospital celebrates its first anniversary

A year ago this week the Wellcome Trust - HRB Clinical Research Facility (CRF) recruited its first study participant and to mark the ocassion it has launched a new website - www.sjhcrf.ie
Since October 2013, almost?200 participants have been recruited externally into research studies taking place within the St James's Hospital facility and a further 350 patients have been referred from hospital outpatient clinics.
The CRF is a partnership between Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and St. James's Hospital and is funded by the Wellcome Trust and the HRB. It was opened by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD, in May 2013 and is located on the main hospital grounds under the directorship of Michael Gill, Professor of Psychiatry in Trinity's School of Medicine.
