IPCOR Research Officers Required
Applications are invited for three Research Officers who will be employed by the National Cancer Registry to support the Irish Prostate Cancer Outcomes Research (IPCOR) project. The post-holders will: establish procedures within hospitals to identify newly diagnosed prostate cancer cases; collect patient, tumour and treatment-related information; and collect clinical follow-up data.
The successful candidates must have a third level qualification in healthcare or an allied discipline, a RGN or equivalent nursing qualification, or be educated to degree level in health sciences, social sciences or a related subject. S/he must have worked in a healthcare environment for at least two years and be familiar with medical terminology. Computer literacy is essential as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
