Molecular Medicine Ireland is a not-for-profit research partnership established in 2008 by the NUI Galway, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Trinity College Dublin, University College Cork and University College Dublin, their associated academic hospitals and clinical research facilities, to accelerate the translation of biomedical research into improved diagnostics, therapies and devices for patients.
An initiative is underway titled “Corporate Enabling of Clinical Research” which is aimed at identifying and assisting in resolving governance, legal and insurance challenges of clinical research for institutions. This initiative is being driven by a group whose membership comprises experts involved in research support, legal, contracts, insurance and governance from institutions including Molecular Medicine Ireland, NUI Galway, NUI Maynooth, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Trinity College Dublin, University College Cork, University College Dublin, University of Limerick, the Health Research Board and Enterprise Ireland.
Reporting to the Chief Executive at MMI and the two co-chairs of the Steering Group, the role will support the Steering Group in delivering Corporate Enabling of Clinical Research. The Steering Group has developed a roadmap for the project and require a Project Manager to manage the implementation of the roadmap. A number of working groups have been established to implement the actions on the roadmap. The Project Manager will ensure the project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required standard of quality.
