Building works have finally commenced for the Wellcome Trust - HRB Clinical Research Centre at St. James's Hospital. John Paul Construction started on site on 7th November and are expected to complete the building works by the end of 2012. All being well the first patient is expected in Q1 2013. During 2012 key staff will be hired so that the facility can be up and running as soon as it is completed. The facility has an area of approximately 1,300m2 and will have a mix of 14 inpatient/day case beds, a neurophysiology suite, excercise physiology and a clean room for the preparation/compounding of novel therapies, as well as consultations and examination rooms.
