JobBridge Internship available as Project Assistant for Translational Research (Medical Science) at MMI - POSITION CLOSED

Molecular Medicine Ireland is offering an internship for a Project Assistant under the FAS Job Bridge Scheme to a graduate who is keen to gain expertise and experience in the area of translational research.

This 9 month internship will provide the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to develop project management, IT and administration skills as well as gaining valuable insight into a multi-institutional academic environment with industry collaboration.

The intern will receive training in the following: providing logistical and administrative support to working groups in translational research; assisting in the writing of grant applications; assisting with the organisation’s web-site and communications; and organising conferences, workshops and training courses.

By the end of the internship, the intern will have attained skills in: writing scientific reports, networking, project management and administration skills, as well as gaining a good knowledge of research strategy and the translational research environment in Ireland and internationally.

Skills and Qualifications: The intern will have a bachelor’s degree or higher in biological or biomedical sciences. S/he should also be a self-motivated, pro-active individual, a team player as well as able to work independently. Excellent Communication skills (written & verbal), good attention to detail, ability to work to and achieve agreed timelines and good IT skills are required. No formal work experience is necessary.
