Travel bursaries for Diabetes & Obesity horizon scanning meeting

The obesity-diabetes ‘epidemic’ is bringing together researchers across a wide range of disciplines. ‘Diabetes & obesity: getting to the heart of the matter’ – a full day meeting in Edinburgh on Wednesday 26 May – will provide a forum to share the latest research findings and consider future developments.
Speakers include Professor Stephen O’Rahilly FRS FMedSci, Professor of Clinical Biochemistry, University of Cambridge and Dr Tim Rolph, Chief Scientific Officer, Pfizer.
An exciting opportunity is open to medical students and clinical academic trainees from the Republic of Ireland to attend this stimulating event in Edinburgh. Thanks to the generosity of the Medical Research Society, travel bursaries of 150 euros are available. Registration for the meeting is free.
There is a poster competition for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. Entries are invited across a broad range of disciplines including epidemiology, heart disease, inflammation and societal change.
